Welcome to FUNGA fest 2025 – Israel’s first national celebration of fungi! Whether you’re attending for one day or the full event, here’s what you need to know to make the most of your experience.

December 7–10, 2025

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva

Main events will be held in the IKI Auditorium, Building 51, Room 015.

🧭 Getting There

By Train:

The nearest station is Beer-Sheva North/University – just a 5-minute walk to the venue.

By Car:

Please note there is no parking inside the university. Paid public parking is available nearby.

By Foot/Bike:

The campus is easily accessible by foot or bicycle from surrounding neighborhoods.

We recommend the U-Tel Guesthouse, located within the BGU Student Village.

Each day of the fest will focus on a unique theme, from science and medical mycology to foraging, fermentation, and fungal culture.

You can register for individual days or for the full four-day experience.

Discounted rates are available for students and groups.

📢 Call for Abstracts

Oral and poster presentations are welcome!

Deadline: October 31, 2025 November 22, 2025  November 29, 2025 (for poster presentations only).

📚 Abstract Book

The official Funga Fest Abstract Book will be available after the event. It will include all accepted presentations across scientific, cultural, and creative topics.
