The rules listed below form the Terms and Conditions of the FUNGA fest 2025 Art Competition. By submitting an entry electronically, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms in full. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme (fungi), and overall artistic execution.
All entries must be submitted online, following the instructions on the official FUNGA fest website: https://fungafest.com/art-competition/
Participation in the competition is free of charge.
The deadline for submissions is November 22, 2025.
The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
Each participant may submit up to 2 original artworks.
To be eligible, participants must be registered for at least one day of the FUNGA fest 2025 conference. Registration will be verified.
Only original artworks created by the entrant are eligible. Submissions must not infringe upon third-party rights, including copyright, privacy, or trademark rights.
Artworks may be in any medium (painting, drawing, mixed media, digital, sculpture, etc.) but must be submitted as high-quality digital images (.jpeg, .png, .tiff) via the submission form.
The long edge of the digital file must be at least 2000px, preferably 4960px or higher, for print-quality display.
Files may be accompanied by a short title, medium, dimensions, and/or a brief description (max 100 words).
Accepted entries will be printed or exhibited digitally during Day 4 of the conference. Participants must remove any physical works by the end of the exhibition day if requested.
Entrants retain full copyright of their work but grant FUNGA fest 2025 a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to reproduce the submitted images for promotional purposes, event documentation, exhibition materials, and publications. Credit will always be given as:

Submissions must not contain any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
If an artwork includes identifiable individuals, the artist must obtain written consent from those individuals (or a guardian if under 18).
FUNGA fest 2025 is not liable for any legal claims arising from the submitted content.
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the FUNGA fest Artistic and Scientific Committee.
Submissions not meeting the guidelines or technical/artistic standards may be disqualified without notice.
Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibition or publications.
Winning entries will be selected based on originality, technical execution, thematic relevance, and artistic merit.
Winners will be announced on Day 3 of FUNGA fest 2025 and published in the official Book of Abstracts.
Winners will be notified via email within 7 working days.
If winners cannot be reached within 30 days, alternates may be selected.
FUNGA fest 2025 reserves the right to revoke a winner’s status in case of eligibility violations.
Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.
FUNGA fest is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected submissions.
Entrants consent to the publication of biographical information submitted with their artwork.
FUNGA fest 2025 shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred through participation except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct.
Delays or disruptions due to natural disasters, war, strikes, or other uncontrollable events shall not result in liability for FUNGA fest 2025.
By submitting an entry, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
FUNGA fest 2025 reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of Israeli courts.
