🏆 Judges – FUNGA fest 2025 Competitions

FUNGA fest 2025 is proud to host two creative competitions — one in Art and one in Photography — celebrating the aesthetic, ecological, and cultural richness of fungi. Each competition will be evaluated by a dedicated panel of experts in the respective fields.

🎨 Art Competition Jury

 

Submissions for the Art Competition will be reviewed by a panel of artists, curators, and professionals working at the intersection of science, nature, and visual expression. Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, relevance to fungal themes, originality, and overall artistic merit.

📸 Photography Competition Jury

The Photography Competition will be judged by a panel of professionals with backgrounds in scientific research, nature photography, and visual storytelling. Submissions will be assessed for composition, technical quality, subject matter, and their ability to illuminate the hidden or overlooked aspects of the fungal world.

Jury Panel:

Dr. Paweł Hikisz

 Institute of Biophysics, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Łódź, Poland

Dr. Hikisz is a molecular biologist whose passion for photography spans over 18 years. Beginning with macrophotography, he has explored both scientific and artistic documentation of the natural world, particularly fungi and hidden urban spaces.
