The rules listed below form the Terms and Conditions of the FUNGA fest 2025 Photo Competition.
By submitting an entry electronically, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms in full.
Entries will be judged based on relevance to the competition theme (fungi), creativity, technical execution, and interpretation.
Submit online following the instructions on the official FUNGA fest website:
Participation is free of charge.
Deadline for submissions: November 22, 2025.
Open to individuals aged 18 and above.
Each participant may submit up to 3 original photographs.
Participants must be registered for at least one day of the FUNGA fest 2025 conference. Registration will be verified.
All submitted photos must be the original work and sole property of the entrant.
Submissions must not infringe upon third-party rights including copyright, privacy, or trademarks.
If individuals are identifiable in a photo, the entrant must obtain consent from those individuals (or a parent/guardian if under 18).
File formats: .jpeg, .png, or .tiff.
Minimum size: Long edge at least 2000px (preferably 4960px or higher).
Only single-frame photographs are allowed.
Permitted edits: Light cropping, minor color correction, grayscale conversion.
Not allowed: AI-generated content, manipulated composites, or excessive digital editing.
Original files (RAW, unedited JPEG, EXIF data) must be kept and provided upon request.
Participants may also bring a printed/hard copy of their photos to display at the conference on Day 4.
All physical works must be removed by the participant by the end of the same day.
All accepted entries will be printed/digitally displayed and exhibited on Day 4 of the conference.
Entrants retain full copyright of their photographs but grant FUNGA fest 2025 a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use the images (in full or in part) for promotion, exhibitions, publications, and collaborations.
Credit will always be given as:

Photos must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
Entrants are solely responsible for the legality of their submissions and for securing all necessary permissions.
FUNGA fest 2025 is not liable for any legal claims arising from the submitted content.
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the FUNGA fest Artistic and Scientific Committee.
Submissions not meeting the stated requirements or technical/artistic standards may be disqualified.
Submission does not guarantee use, exhibition, or publication.
Winning photos will be selected based on relevance, creativity, technical execution, and interpretation.
Winners will be announced on Day 3 of FUNGA fest 2025 and published in the official Book of Abstracts.
Winners will be contacted via email within 7 working days.
If a winner cannot be reached within 30 days, an alternate may be selected.
Winners consent to having their names published as part of official announcements.
FUNGA fest 2025 reserves the right to revoke a winner’s status in the event of a rule or eligibility violation.
FUNGA fest is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected submissions.
Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.
Entrants consent to the publication of biographical information submitted with their photos.
FUNGA fest 2025 shall not be liable for any damages or losses incurred through participation, except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct.
Delays or disruptions due to natural disasters, war, strikes, or other uncontrollable events shall not result in liability for FUNGA fest 2025.
By submitting an entry, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
FUNGA fest 2025 reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of Israeli courts.
